Yew : 21st December – Winter Solstice (two available)

Yew is known for wisdom, understanding, inner peace, death, rebirth and the nurturance of the soul. Yew’s Gaelic name is iubhair or euair.
The ethos of Yew is Immortality, Protection, Longevity, Change, Divinity, Strength, Regeneration. Yew embodies the Crone aspect of the Goddess, and is one of the Guardians of the Underworld that assist in guiding souls from one world to the next.

These magically and individually handcrafted spiraled wands, carved to create a powerful and practical tool while preserving all the character and energy of the wood itself, are made from carefully selected traditional woods gathered in the ancient woodlands of the British Isles. Engraved with a sacred animal, Ogham rune and other Celtic patterns and symbolic empowerments, these wands have been sealed with walnut juice and beeswax to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

  • Tree Wisdom:

The trees there have their own ethos or spirit and helped direct certain power which may be used to enhance your own.  The wood used corresponds to the ancient Celtic Ogham system that relates to different times of the year and the magical properties of each tree. Sacred to the Druids, Yew is one of the sacred woods native to the Island and to the wise people who worked with the energies of the Earth and the elements, and the Yew Tree came to symbolise in Celtic culture Death, Rebirth and Resurrection... The Tree of Life. Engraved with a sacred animal, Ogham rune and other Celtic patterns and symbolic empowerments, these wands have been sealed with walnut juice and beeswax to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
