Dark Deep Hypnotic Tribal World Music ... beautifully heartfelt haunting intimate mysterious soundscapes, mesmerizing rhythms ... mystical trance dance music...

I attended three preformances of Incus: at a local pub, at Harvest Home Festival in CT and at the Temple in the Hood in the Boston area. Fabulous!

Jason Cohen, the visionary force of the band, has experienced numerous healing and expressive arts rituals around the world. His knowledge, experience, and training as a ritual facilitator becomes a part of every Incus performance. Drawing on varying influences both musical and spiritual, Incus stands beyond simple definition in it’s musicality and style: offering various combinations of keyboards, accordion, bass, violin, cello, trumpet, sax, Hang, and percussion with male and female vocals.

An Incus performance is a gathering of people who come together to live and breathe the challenge of being alive, to raise the energy to move toward ecstasy. The element of fire both illuminates and transforms, and it is this energy that Incus embodies while holding space for people to acknowledge the dark and move toward the light.

This embrace and transcendence of duality extends to the very modes of performance themselves. Incus is equally at home rocking out onstage at clubs and bars “plugged in” and electrified as they are performing in their acoustic power at fire festivals around the country. They have gained appreciative followings from these diverse settings.

Jason is also known for his work producing 22 Forestdance gatherings, which have taken place in 7 US states as well as in Costa Rica. These are powerful transformational ritual gatherings designed to bring people into their full power through sacred fire circles.  During the last many summers, Incus toured countless miles, making music at over 100 fires, and at various festivals and venues in the US and in Central America.

This cd is available while supplies last...
